Actions in case of damage to property:
1. Report the incident to the appropriate authorities:
- fire - Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations
- explosion - Ministry of Emergencies
- water, heating or sewage system accident - local administrative authority, emergency service
- penetration of water from neighboring premises - local administrative authorities
- vehicle collision - traffic police;
- falling of a tree on the insurance object – Ministry of Emergency Situations
- natural disasters (acts of God) - Ministry of Emergencies, Hydrometeorological Center
- theft, robbery, robbery with violence, intentional destruction (damage) of objects of insurance by other persons - police.
2. Reduce the damage. Try to take all possible measures to prevent or reduce damage and to save the insured property.
3. Save the picture of the event. Please try to keep the affected property as it was after the loss occurence.
Set of necessary documents
As soon as possible after an accident, you must call to Contact Center of LIGA INSURANCE at (012) 88-88-88 and provide necessary information on the accident and fill in the Online Property Claim Application.
the following set of documents:
1. Identity document of the victim (passport).
2. The original insurance policy, insurance contract.
3. Documents confirming property interest: Municipal (subsidized), department etc. housing:
- passport indicating the place of registration,
- certificate of ownership of the building, apartment.
4. If documents are not submitted by the owner:
The applicant must have, in addition to the documents listed above and below, a notarized power of attorney with the right to receive insurance compensation or the details of the bank account of a person who has the legal right to receive insurance compensation.
5. Documents confirming the fact of the incident:
In case of fire
- A certified copy of the decision to institute criminal proceedings or the decision to refuse to institute criminal proceedings;
- A certificate indicating the date, cause and circumstances of the fire, certified by the signature and seal of the officer of the fire service.
In case of explosion
- A certified copy of the decision to institute criminal proceedings or the decision to refuse to institute criminal proceedings;
- Statement (a certificate), indicating the date, cause and circumstances of the incident.
In case of theft, unlawful actions of third parties
- A certified copy of the decision to institute criminal proceedings or the decision to refuse to institute criminal proceedings, indicating damaged (stolen) property.
In case of natural disaster
- Statement from the Hydrometeorological Centre
In case of a vehicle collision
- Statement from the Road Police,
- Documents indicating the guilty person.
